Cape Jaffa Wines is situated on the rugged Limestone Coast of South
Australia at Mount Benson, near Robe.
In
1995 the first vintage was produced, 1996 saw the stunning cellar door
constructed out of paddock rock picked from the vineyard during
preparation for planting and by 2001 the winery had expanded it's
capacity to just over 1000 tonnes.
The
Hooper family who established and still own Cape Jaffa are passionate
about wine. They are a family business wholly owned by Kym and Sue
Hooper and their winemaker son and winemaker daughter-in-law, Derek and
Anna Hooper.
The
Cape Jaffa vineyard has been planted to the premium grape varieties of
Cabernet Sauvignon, Shiraz, Merlot, Pinot Gris, Petit Verdot,
Chardonnay, Semillon and Sauvignon Blanc.
Cape
Jaffa's wines have been recognised for their superior quality and taste
within Austrtalia as well as on an international level.
